confession
last night, i was suddenly struck with a realization. and then with guilt.
i'd neglected to include a significant period of my musical history.

so, in the name of honesty, here it is.

the "let's just forget this ever happened" years: pre-pubescence
i may have accidentally liked New Kids on the Block, Kylie Minogue, and M.C. Hammer. and for NKOTB, by "accidentally liked," i mean "totally loved." my little 6th grade friends and i knew all the words and all the dance moves. we each had our favorite New Kid. EVERYONE used to do a macarena-type dance to Kylie's cover of "Locomotion" at school dances. it was as widespread as the electric slide.

i fully blame my dad's Cher collection.
