Skool.

Skool.

This afternoon, I turned in my application to a teaching program.

I passed the CBEST. I got in touch with a long lost favorite professor while rounding up some shiny letters of recommendation. I spent 30 hours in a high school classroom. I have effectively taught semicolon usage to my favorite work boyfriends over burritos at lunch. I even somehow got clearance from the state of California to cultivate the Youth Of America. I've finished up two pre-requisite education courses and am almost done with the third.

I also, notably, do not have tuberculosis.

The only thing I have left to do is spew absolutely every morsel of knowledge ever possible about English, literature, language arts, drama, journalism, writing, and history onto four standardized subject equivalency tests next Saturday.

And then? We wait. And keep writing user manuals. [whispering: maybe I will blog more]. And maybe I'll retake some of those subject tests.

But holy god, I'm actually going through with it. I'm finally taking steps to do what I want to do with my life. Hot damn, she said. Hot damn!
