today, i bought red lipstick.

this afternoon, we went to an amazing exhibit at the San Diego Museum of Photographic Arts. i can't remember the last time i went to MoPA. whenever it was, it was too long ago. i will write more on this later, but apart from the paris section (which was totally not healthy for my freshly discovered francophilic tendencies), it focused on very antique photographic media and techniques. and by media, i mean egg whites and gelatin. i had no idea!

anyway, today was an emboldening day. specifically due to a mid-twentieth century picture of a ruby-lipped, super short-banged woman sitting at a paris train station...
